This was my first trip to Black Rock City in the Nevada desert and let me tell you that it is something that I will be doing every year for the foreseeable future.
After being exposed to 15,000 people that were as giving, caring, and nice as the inhabitants of the 6th largest city in Nevada (for that week), I have a new found appreciation for the goodness that lives in some people.
I didn't realize that I had lost much of my faith in humanity, until it was refreshed in one week in the desert. I was able to come home afterward with more spring in my step, and a better attitude towards those people that are not quite of the same mindset as those of us who did the experience that can only be described as Burning Man '98!
By the way, the photo processing to Kodak's PhotoCD is really worth the expense. 5 pict imgages AND the PhotoCD image for $.89/frame? Saved me a LOT of time in scanning and color correcting. But it was more expensive than I thought. <SHAMELESS PLUG>If anyone would like to subisdize my photos for next year, I'd be more than happy to give you copies...</SHAMELESS PLUG>
